How a sample is taken

From consignment to result.

Once we receive your consignment at our Ormeau facilities, the process begins. Our team performs security checks and registers the consignment. The Australis laboratory then takes a sample using induction melting furnaces and dip sampling.

The sample goes through the latest technology analysis process, which uses X-ray fluorescence and fire assay to ensure that we provide you with an accurate result.

To guarantee the purity of the final product, our laboratory analyses the batch sample utilising the ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy) method. Australis Refinery has been certified with ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
